Not just Daycare! This is an educational experience for your dog.
Very different than your typical daycare, its a school for dogs
Awarded Grammar School status by Caters News & The Sun newspapers
We train, care & stimulate your dog mentally & physically whilst you are at work or out.
WHY we station our creche dogs....
we do this so they learn the mat has a high reinforcement history so they feel it's a great place to be. We teach this in classes so when they go in to a new place with new experiences, you can take your mat and they feel instantly reassured and relaxed on their mat.
In daycare, it helps are handlers know when a dog wants some 'me' time & to teach them to relax together & be obedient as a group.
All our staff are Pet Care trained in reading dogs calming signals & warning signs & certified in Dog First Aid & CPR. We do regular staff training & work alongside them to support them.

We work differently than other daycares...
We think its IMPORTANT to separate our dogs in to temperament groups to make sure we insure pack harmony & good social skills.
Our dogs will meet a variety of dogs but are allocated in to their temperament packs of 5-15 dogs with a minimum of 1 handler per pack. Daycares that put all dogs into large packs together will be creating rude behaviours such as bullying & aggressive displays, we want to build & train them individually & our structure allows us to do that.
Every hour they do a different activity to stimulate them mentally & Physically.
Here is our timetable currently but this changes every few weeks...
Requirements
Due to Stockport Council license & our insurance policy. We can' take males after 6 months un-neutered (not castrated) & females after their first season need to be neutered (spayed).
They need to be fully sociable, fully flea & worm treated & have their annual vaccination & kennel cough vaccination to attend.
We take a percentage of each breed group in daycare so we may not have a place available so you can email before applying.
Dogs must be happy with barriers as we divide out packs into temperament so their may be room dividers & stair gates between packs & team members.
What makes us different?
We separate our dogs in to temperament, we don't feel the a dog should have to put up with another by putting them all together all day. They may meet all dogs at different intervals in the day.
We do one to one training with the dogs, group training & lots of enrichment to mentally stimulate our dogs.
You can book swimming lessons, baths & nail trimming under our care.
We have qualified trainers involved in daycare to train pet carers & supervise the interactions.
The first day....
If your dog is over 6 months they require an assessment with the owner Tracy & her pet dogs. If they pass the off lead assessment, they stay that same day all day, you go home & pick up between 4-6pm (only on first day) to give them enough time to learn routine.
If your dog is under 6 months they don't require an assessment just a trial day on their first day.
All dogs have 5 trial days before achieving permanent place in the Academy. On the 5th trial day we then let you know if your dog gets a permeant place at the academy & as long as they attend once per month they keep their place.
Dogs must be comfortable behind a barrier & good with dogs & people to pass this assessment.
We have a percentage of each breed group & age groups in daycare so some groups are full so call for availability.
After your first day all bookings are taken via academy4dogsuk@gmail.com (you never get turned away), its for an email trail or you can book through our online shop see BOOK daycare above (a place must be approved before paying for a day at school).
You can drop off between 7-11 & pick up between 1-6pm, we do a late fee till 6.30pm for £5 per dog.
We don't provide a transportation service to & from daycare.
We really focus on canine enrichment (we believe in brain training), teaching dogs to co exist not bounce on each others heads in our daycare, we actually want them to think our handlers & our environment is more exciting to promote a good recall when out with you & to not be dog distracted as a result
The Pool area (OPEN April-SEPT each year)
We have doggie pool - not a hydro pool but does have a heater, a filter & his chemical treated & tested. You can book a swim for your daycare dog in the pool on the day at school.
We use it to teach our dogs a vital life skill of swimming that could save their life one day.
They were a life jacket to go in & staff member goes in with them at all times.
Outside corridor for drop off's with shelter for owner, 4 metre distancing from team with intercom entrance, to ensure our customers are COVID safe. Entrance pictured below with an aerial view of outside yard & main arena below...
