We have a range of different classes at Happy Hounds Dog Training School, we run the school from Academy 4 Dogs in Stockport. At the school we run the following classes, one to ones & behavioural services.

Puppy Fondations 5-12 months old, 6 weeks (1 hr each week) £75 - £40 deposit on booking​​

Agility Classes Beginners, Advanced & PRO Agility (3 levels) £60 per 6 week course
Demo team after is £4 per week pay as you go​
Advanced Training course (after foundation) 6 wks (1hr each wk) £70 - £35 deposit on booking​​
Recall Workshops- 1 hour 15 minutes
£30 pay in full on booking​
One to One obedience £60 per session
Behavioural assessments £45 (training on quotation)​
Reactivity Bootcamp 8 weeks £300 (including life training programme)
Trick Training Class- 6 weeks (1 hour)

Young Pups- under 20 weeks old, 4 weeks (1hr each week) £45 - £25 deposit on booking​
We recommend 10 weeks of training for every puppy that enrols at the Academy. So we split into first 4 weeks which is young pups & last 6 weeks Puppy Foundations. We advise to prebook both courses on booking so you don't have a 6 to 8 week wait in-between courses.

Young pups covers

* House Training, Chewing, Destruction
* Socialisation, whats good & bad play (they interact them slowly into off lead, making sure all dogs are happy.
* Basic obedience commands- sit, down, stand, wait & stay
* Choice Game- giving choice & empowerment in handling e.g grooming, bathing & health checks
* Off lead control
* Manners on greeting & in the house

They can come in at 5 months old into this class, or 4 months if they have been on our young pups course prior.

Trick Training Course

​​Learning fun/valuable tricks to teach your dog. This helps with focus, strong bond & reducing distractions whilst learning useful tricks. You gain upto 4 rosettes in this course.

Trick Training covers an array of​​ tricks from roll over to skateboarding, pull my socks off, close the door & more

Fun Dog Agility

Beginners Agility- on lead learning all pieces of equipment earning a certificate at end

Advanced Agility- off lead, learning control exercises to help with recall & reducing distractions, Introducing you to the see saw also. Rosette is achieved at the end

PRO Agility- working in teams against each other with prizes for fastest dog each week & an award ceremony in week 6. Introduction to stationing whilst having running distraction.

One to One Agility- Held on Sunday mornings between 10-12.30 (30 minutes session) £20 per session.​​

Demo Team​​​​​​​​​- Our demo team is pay as you go each week & then 3 months before the Family Pet Show in manchester the team is picked & work together refining as a team, ready to perform at the show.

Reactive Bootcamp

This course​​ for dogs that lunge, growl, bark on lead at other dogs/humans or need to build a positive association with other dogs/humans.

This is life training, so you are invited back free of charge to the last 3 weeks of all future bootcamps.

We have a chat forum where our bootcamp community can meet for set ups with their class mates & previous boot campers.

One to one obedience sessions

These are held on a Tuesday & Wednesday daytime, to work with our dog trainers on your specific problem

Obedience problems e.g. loose lead training, recall, jumping up etc.

Young pups under 20 weeks get £20 off obedience one to ones (£40 per session)​​​​


If it is behavioural based we would ask you to have an assessment prior to getting a quote for your training.

Confidence Builder Workshop

Taught by our behaviourist.

​​Is your dog fearful, timid or doesn't know how to cope at times. Does your dog suffer with anxiety or scared of new things? Then this course is for you.

This course covers how to team a coping mechanism, how to grow confidence & an obstacle course helping them getting over fears & in turn put trust in their owner to be able to get them over things. Learn lots of tasks you can teach at home.

If your dog suffers with reactivity & shows their anxieties through barking at their trigger then they would require our reactive bootcamp.​​

£20 ​​​​​​per dog.

K9 Partnership Challenge

Come have fun with your dog!

Two teams (red & blue) against each other in a challenge to test you & your dogs relationship ​​​. Testing communication skills with each other & learning to enhance that bond further. A great way to see how clever your dog is & to get into the team spirit.

Happy Hounds Obedience Demo Team
Pay as you go £5 per lesson​
Happy Hounds Obedience Demo team

A pay as you go class, ​​you must of completed Foundation 1 (puppy or adult) & Advanced training courses with us to move to our demonstration team.

You must attend 3 out of 4 on average classes per month. This is held on a Monday at 8pm.

Half the class is on practising synchronised dog work ready for the family pet show demonstration team at Event City every October each year. Rehearsals take place each week throughout the year but then the team gets picked in August & then the team rehearses till October.

Rachel Bean's Dog First Aid & CPR Sun 4th June at 9am (4 hours) £45

Jo Rosie & Nando Brown from Superstar dogs on TV are doing a one day workshop at 10am on Sat 19th August £65 looking at dog interactions, reading dogs, doggie yoga & multi dog households.
